Custom CNC Machining: How to Get the Perfect Fit for Your Project
Sometimes, the standard, off-the-shelf parts just don’t quite meet the requirements of your manufacturing project. That’s where custom CNC machining can help. CNC machining techniques can create custom components with high precision, parts that are designed to meet your exact dimensions, geometries, and tolerances.
What is CNC machining?
There are many different ways to shape metals or plastics in the functional components of our everyday equipment and products, and CNC machining is one of the most popular methods for its efficiency and easy repeatability. Custom CNC machining is guided by computer numerical control, which transforms digital designs into directions for the tooling within the machine. The tools then carefully remove material from a workpiece until the desired shape is achieved.
CNC machining, especially with more recent advancements in the technology, offers a wide range of benefits. The main one is precision and consistent quality–the machine makes the same parts cycle after cycle, with the same tolerances and the same level of quality. However, they’re also incredibly efficient, perfect for accommodating any production volumes big or small at high speeds.
Custom CNC Machining at Trimen Industrial
Trimen has a wide range of CNC machining capabilities, offering horizontal and vertical milling, and high tolerance CNC turning. We have CNC mills that can work on up to five axes for more complex geometries, as well as small to large scale components, dimensions ranging up to 40″ x 35.5″ x 40″ on the horizontal mills, and 120″ x 28″ x 30″ on the vertical mills. We also maintain several CNC lathes for turning and drilling operations, easily holding dimensional tolerances up to 0.0004”. We work with a variety of metals, including many alloys of aluminum and steel, and we have a long history of machining experience to offer each of our customers no matter their industry requirements.
